New Committee Elected

On Monday 11th June 2018 an extraordinary general meeting of Lothian Families with Diabetes was called in the hope of filling the vacant the positions of Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.

The good news is that a new committee was elected, and we are pleased to announce that the following office bearers were voted in unopposed.

Chair - James Rodger-Phillips

James has Type 1 Diabetes himself, and has volunteered with Diabetes UK for the past eight years. He is keen to get stuck in and organise some great events in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Treasurer - Kevin Brannan

Kevin also has T1D, and has voulunteered with Diabetes UK for several years. The committee is excited to have his financial accumen as we move forward.

Secretary - Lindsay Slater

Lindsay is an expereicned T1 parent, and is also now the longest serving commitee member, having volunteered  with LFWD for two years. After the success of her Starz party in May, Lindsay is excited to get even more events on the calendar.

We are aware that there will be many people interested in getting involved in the committee and will open up the August committee meeting to anyone who'd like to be more involved. Watch this space for more details!

During the course of the meeting the decision was also made to rebrand LFWD to make it easier to search for and find online. If you have any suggetsions for a new name, then please get in touch to let us know.
